COsMIC SONIC RENDEZVOUS
Tee Pee Records Brings Heavy Psych Rock to Brooklyn This May
A new independent festival focused on heavy rock, doom, and psychedelia is taking over Brooklyn this May. Organized by Tee Pee Records in collaboration with United Sounds NYC, Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous will transform three neighboring venues into a two-day gathering centered around underground guitar music and independent culture.

Taking place May 23–24 across The Brooklyn Monarch, The Meadows, and The Woodshop, the festival brings together legacy acts, international projects, and newer bands operating across the heavier edges of psych, doom, stoner rock, and experimental underground scenes.
Rather than positioning itself as a large commercial event, Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous leans into a more community-driven approach rooted in independent labels, physical music culture, and DIY live spaces. The involvement of Tee Pee Records is central to that identity. The New York label has spent decades supporting heavy psychedelic music through vinyl releases and underground touring circuits, helping shape a scene that continues to evolve outside mainstream festival structures.
The lineup reflects that wide spectrum. Bands like Dead Meadow, The Obsessed, EYEHATEGOD, and The Atomic Bitchwax appear alongside newer and more internationally connected projects such as Al-Qasar and Sphaéros Possession.
A limited-capacity pre-festival show will also take place on Friday, May 22 at Sleepwalk in Brooklyn, featuring an intimate performance by Sphaéros Possession.

Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous arrives at a moment where independent music festivals continue to search for identity beyond algorithm-driven lineups and corporate sponsorship structures. In that sense, the festival feels less like a revival project and more like a continuation of an underground circuit that has remained active for decades through labels, venues, touring bands, and local communities.
