SXSW has always been a space for discovery, but also for building an archive. Within that context, the Easy Eye Sound showcase in 2024 stands as one of those moments where past, present, and future meet. The label founded by Dan Auerbach is built around that idea: supporting distinctive voices while preserving a strong sense of musical identity.

AUSTIN | TMN® Editorial

What happens in these showcases is more than a series of performances. It reflects a catalog, a network of artists, and a clear approach to music. Documenting it becomes part of the work.

The showcase took place at Mohawk Austin, one of the key venues within the SXSW circuit. Artists connected to Easy Eye Sound shared the stage in a night that moved naturally between blues, soul, and rock.

This kind of setting captures what makes SXSW unique. Emerging and established artists intersect in the same space, creating moments that do not repeat.

Below are three performances now part of the TMN® Live Music Series archive:

Gabe Carter

A direct performance, without excess. Gabe Carter represents a new generation of artists within the Easy Eye Sound ecosystem, bridging tradition and present sound.

The Black Keys

(with Hermanos Gutiérrez)

One of the strongest moments of the showcase. The reinterpretation of the classic moves between blues and psychedelia with precision and control.
