PSYCH MARATHON
Two days of underground psych rock
Last weekend, Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous took over The Meadows, The Brooklyn Monarch and The Woodshop in Brooklyn with more than 30 bands across two days dedicated to heavy psych, doom and underground rock.
BRROKLYN | By Pablo Herrera
Organized by independent label Tee Pee Records, the festival brought together veterans of the underground scene alongside newer bands continuing to push psychedelic and heavy rock forward.
TMN spent the weekend moving between stages documenting the atmosphere, the volume and the physical energy that still defines these scenes today. At a moment where music culture often feels increasingly algorithmic and disposable, Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous felt loud, direct and completely real.
Rather than overexplaining the festival, we wanted to focus on capturing what it actually felt like to be there.
Below you can explore some of the performances, moments and footage we documented throughout the weekend in Brooklyn.
