VIBRANT AND EMOTIONAL: THIS IS HOW MARK AMBOR WON OVER BARCELONA

On May 14, New York funk-pop singer-songwriter Mark Ambor took the stage at Razzmatazz 2 in Barcelona with a vibrant, emotion-filled show. This stop on his Rockwood Tour marked the end of his electrifying journey before wrapping it all up in Madrid.
Warm, approachable, and emotional — that’s how you could sum up a Mark Ambor concert in just a few words. The night kicked off on a high note thanks to the sweetness and authenticity of opener Isabel Dumaa, who, guitar in hand, charmed the audience with a set full of irresistibly heartfelt country-pop.
When Ambor took the stage, it was the emotional “I Hope It All Works Out” that managed to cut through the deafening buzz of excited cheers, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Both the artist and his band came out of the backstage already fully committed, ready to give it their all — with no signs of letting fatigue win for even a second.
El vínculo que hubo entre el cantautor neoyorquino y su público es una de esas conexiones difíciles de encontrar, y mucho más de describir; pero está claro que la energía en esa sala era recíproca, desmedida y muy especial.
Songs like “Our Way”, “Who Knows” and “My Love!” deserve a special mention for triggering some of the loudest, most ecstatic screams from the Barcelona crowd. But without a doubt, one of the most moving moments of the night came during Ambor’s performance of “Hate That I Still Love You” sung from the floor, without a microphone, wrapped in the warmth of his fans—who rose to the occasion, giving it their all and turning the moment into a harmonious chorus.
The bond between the New York singer-songwriter and his audience was one of those rare connections that’s hard to find—and even harder to describe. What’s clear is that the energy in that room was mutual, intense, and truly special.
