The second edition of Ruidosa Festival in New York City was nothing short of electric. With an all-women lineup featuring some of the most influential voices in Latin music today, the event proved that artists like Empress Of, Snow Tha Product, and YEИDRY are here to stay — and they’re reshaping the sound and culture of both Latin America and the U.S. Somos mujeres y hacemos música — and we’re doing it louder than ever.

Ruidosa Fest (“to make noise” or “to roar” in the feminine form in Spanish) is an independent, feminist platform where pop culture meets advocacy, celebrating female-identifying voices and perspectives. Its collaboration with Lincoln Center for Summer for the City turned the iconic New York venue into a hub for music, dialogue, and empowerment.

Voices and Perspectives: The Industry Panel
The day began with a thought-provoking panel introduced by Francisca Valenzuela — Ruidosa’s founder, singer-songwriter, and all-around force of nature. The discussion brought together powerful industry figures: Mary Petro (Agent, United Talent Agency), Jennifer Sarkissian (LAMC / Nacional Records, General Manager), Corina Azpúrua (Regional Head of Editorial & Marketing Partnerships, Believe Ibero-America), and moderator Alexis Hodoyán-Gastélum (Music Editor, Remezcla). They tackled representation, challenges, and the future of women in the music industry with unapologetic honesty and vision.

After the panel, Valenzuela sat at the piano for an intimate three-song set—a rare chance to experience her artistry up close. You can catch a clip from that emotive performance now on our YouTube Channel.
TMN had the chance to interview her right after (interview coming soon!) about being a woman entrepreneur, staying true to your passion, and her advice for young creators:
“In today’s world, what truly matters is having a point of view, a perspective. Be unique and authentic.”
Music Without Limits
From there, the stages across Lincoln Center came alive. Chilean and Mapuche rapper MC Millaray opened the musical program with a high-energy set that had the audience moving from the first beat. Her infectious rhythm set the tone for what would be a day of unstoppable music. Catch a snippet of her performance on our YouTube channel.

Next, Camila Fernández, the Mexican mariachi singer from the legendary Fernández dynasty, took the Dance Floor stage and delivered a stirring performance of “Se Cancela La Llorada.” It was more than just a song — it was a bold, unapologetic statement against machismo, embraced by a crowd that sang and swayed along. Then came YEИDRY, the Italian-Dominican vocalist whose flawless voice stunned the audience into moments of awe. “My father is here and will hear me on stage for the first time,” she told the crowd, adding an intimate layer to an already magnetic set. Relive part of her performance now on our YouTube channel.

Argentinian musician Sofía Rei followed with a tapestry of sounds, weaving together art-pop, jazz, and Latin influences in a performance that felt as much like a cultural journey as it did a concert. See her in action over on our YouTube channel.

The momentum carried on with PAMÉ, whose Dominican-American energy kept people dancing until J Noa stormed the stage at Damrosch Park. Her explosive rap performance was a powerful reminder of how women are shaping the future of Latin hip-hop. Peep this fire moment from her set on our YouTube channel.
