From TMN Editorial, we are proud to share this chronicle written by Noelia Serrano and Carla Lamiel, two of our most dedicated, innovative, and professional creators from Barcelona. They experienced firsthand the energy, emotions, and learning that come with a major film festival. Through screenings, talks, and red carpets, they tell us what it's like to cover such an event, where cinema turns into an experience.

BARCELONA. BY Noelia Serrano and Caral Lamiel.

On April 24th, the ninth edition of the international film festival known as BCN Film Fest kicked off. It is an unmissable event for any film lover, featuring visits from renowned stars like Richard Gere and Ralph Fiennes , as well as screenings of films such as "La buena letra," "The Return," "Small Things Like These," and "Adorable."

Having the opportunity to cover the festival for the first time has undoubtedly been an unforgettable experience. Teens Media Network allowed us to approach cinema from a professional perspective, letting us immerse ourselves in a carefully curated selection of films over several days. The festival's lineup included a wide variety of offerings to suit all tastes, with powerful stories revolving around the connections between cinema, literature, and history.

In this audiovisual piece, our creators Noelia Serrano and Carla Lamiel document the special screening of The Return at the BCN Film Fest, a film filled with emotion and redemption starring Ralph Fiennes. The video includes exclusive footage of the red carpet, where the British actor made an appearance, and invites us to experience firsthand what it's like to cover an international premiere from within the festival.

Not every day can one attend a red carpet event and watch their favorite actors walk by, as was the case with Barbie Ferreira, Hugo Silva, Carlos Cuevas, Carolina Yuste, Manolo Solo, Ángela Molina, and many other personalities who posed for the press cameras. The excitement in the air among those waiting on the red carpet, along with the warm applause and cheers from the audience that filled the cinemas, were some of the unique moments we’ll take with us.

Being surrounded by industry professionals and people who share the same passion for cinema—from organizers to attendees—allowed us to experience up close the contagious energy that fills a festival like the BCN Film Fest. In addition to the films, attending the panels and listening firsthand to actors and directors talk about their creative processes was both tremendously interesting and enriching.

Noelia Serrano and Carla Lamiel take us behind the scenes of the special screening of Wisdom and Happiness at the BCN Film Fest. Through their fresh and committed perspective, we relive the official presentation of the film, featuring a live intervention from its producer, Richard Gere. A piece that combines journalistic sensitivity with lived experience, right at the heart of the festival.

One of the best parts of being part of this community is sharing experiences, teaming up, and brainstorming ideas to bring a unique storytelling to life; and this has been another of the many lessons we've learned through this opportunity.

Without a doubt, during these days at the iconic Cines Verdi, we’ve witnessed the power and transformative magic of art and culture. Being part of such an inspiring and stimulating experience has been a privilege, and we thank TMN and the BCN Film Fest for the opportunity.
