TMN Arrives in Barcelona

TMN has arrived in Barcelona to cover a series of exciting events, including the Primavera Sound Festival, Primavera Pro, Primavera in Schools, and the Sónar Festival.

The activities kicked off last Saturday with the gathering of over 30 young people from Barcelona who have been creating the TMN Barcelona team. This group comprises talented youth students of communications, film, multimedia, and more.

"We had an incredible reception during our open call for the youth of Barcelona, with over 100 young people registering to participate with TMN in Barcelona. We selected 30 of them who are eager and very excited to become a part of this innovative initiative now crossing the ocean to establish TMN in Barcelona," says founder and executive director Pablo Herrera.

Primavera Sound

Primavera Sound, the most anticipated music festivals in the world, is set to be a highlight of TMN's coverage in Barcelona. Known for its diverse and eclectic lineup, Primavera Sound features over 250 bands spanning various genres, ensuring there is something for every music lover. This year's lineup includes renowned acts such as Phoenix, Lana Del Rey, The National, and PJ Harvey, among many others.

TMN's coverage of Primavera Sound will not only focus on the main performances but also delve into the festival’s rich cultural and social impact. Our team will provide live updates, interviews with artists and attendees, and behind-the-scenes looks at what makes this festival a standout event.

Primavera PrO

TMN will also be an active participant at the Primavera Pro festival, featuring conferences, networking, and showcases. TMN will be presenting its project at the Ideas Showroom at Primavera Pro. This event, recognized for its ability to discover future trends and understand the constantly evolving landscape of the music industry, offers an exceptional platform for emerging projects and the latest innovations in the musical field.

The Pitching Ideas Showroom, sponsored by Primavera Pro and Catalan Arts in collaboration with the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC), is a space dedicated to small-format presentations where emerging projects share the stage with renowned international institutions. We are delighted to be part of this edition, where the selected projects will have the opportunity to be showcased from May 29 to 31 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona.

Primavera in Schools

TMN also will be covering the BB Fest at INS-Besòs, FEST-ITA, and FEST&VALL, where high school students organized their own music festivals. These events are part of the program promoted by the Primavera Sound Foundation and Blanca Gallo Agencia Musical, designed to give students hands-on experience in the music industry.

At these festivals, students take on a variety of roles, learning the essential trades and skills required to run a successful event. From planning and promotion to stage management and sound engineering, these young organizers gain invaluable insights into the complexities of festival production.

Sónar Festival

The excitement doesn't stop there. TMN will cover the 31st edition of the Sónar Festival, an event that has positioned Barcelona as a global capital for electronic music and digital culture. The festival hosts groundbreaking performances from both established stars and emerging talent. We are thrilled to also cover Sónar+D, the festival’s gathering of digital culture, which explores the interplay between technology, digital art, music, and nature. This year, Sónar+D will delve into the practical applications of artificial intelligence in sound, stage design, gaming, alternative realities, music, cinema, and the arts.
