Following their Primavera Sound debut, The Sophs discuss touring Europe, recording Goldstar, and what's next for the band.

Recorded just after stepping off stage at Primavera Sound Barcelona 2026, this conversation captures the Los Angeles indie rock band in the middle of a summer festival tour that has taken them across Europe following the release of their debut album Goldstar.

The band talks about what it meant to perform at Primavera Sound for the first time, their experience playing in front of a European audience, and why crowds in Europe feel different from those in the United States. They also discuss what's next as they continue touring through Scandinavia and beyond.

The Sophs share the story behind regularly performing Mac DeMarco's "For the First Time" on this tour, reflect on how life has changed since forming the band, and recommend the songs they believe best introduce new listeners to their music.
