Barcelona 2025: Three Festivals, One Turning Point
TMN Team during the coverage of Primavera Sound Barcelona.
This summer, TMN covered three of Europe’s most influential festivals — Primavera Sound, Sónar, and Cruïlla. Each of these events has its own identity, audience, and creative universe. Yet they were all connected by one powerful thread: the tireless work of our young, multidisciplinary team.
Through real-time coverage, original interviews, short-form videos, and post-production efforts that often stretched into the early hours, TMN reached an audience of over 2 million people. While that number is something to be proud of, what truly defines this moment in our journey goes beyond reach or metrics: it marks TMN’s evolution from a well-intentioned project into a structured, values-driven organization.
For a long time, TMN operated as an open, experimental space — a platform where anyone with passion and initiative could join. But over the past year — and especially during these intense weeks in Barcelona — it became clear that enthusiasm alone isn’t enough. Sustainability demands something deeper: commitment, professionalism, and respect.
The Barcelona team was a mix of talent, energy, and challenge. There were high points and tough lessons. We learned that good content isn’t enough — you have to be able to collaborate, manage time, meet deadlines, handle pressure, and above all, stay proactive and open to learning through mistakes.
Young people today are growing up inside a culture saturated by media. In that environment, it’s easy to confuse personal ego with professional excellence. But the truth is, ego doesn’t lead to long-term success — and it certainly doesn’t lead to the creative career many dream of. At TMN, our purpose isn’t to fuel artistic identities — it’s to prepare young people for the realities of the creative industry, where talent is only part of the equation.
That means helping them understand the value of collective effort. That being young doesn’t entitle you to everything, and that asking for recognition means being ready to recognize the work of others — including the tremendous energy, logistics, and professional labor that goes into keeping this platform alive.
TMN has become a school not just for its young creators, but also for the adults and professionals who support them. Over this past year, we’ve learned how to write the rules, set boundaries, protect potential over ego, and prioritize lived experiences over empty applause.
This summer marks a turning point. TMN is no longer just a place to be part of something. It’s a platform where you come to be transformed. A place not to stand next to culture, but to find your place within it — through effort, intention, and integrity.
We’re still learning. Still refining. But now more than ever, we’re clear on what we stand for. Because when a piece of coverage lands, when a reel connects, when a young creator says, “I finally felt capable,” all the effort, all the structure, all the work — it’s worth it.
TMN is not a trend. Not a club.
It’s a serious community.
And we’re entering this next chapter with clarity, strength… and deeper conviction than ever before.
