I Just Want People to Feel Everything
Interview with OSKA. Primavera Pro Barcelona.
At the heart of Barcelona’s bustling Centre de Cultura Contemporània (CCCB), Teens Media Network had the privilege to sit down with OSKA, an artist whose music whispers and roars with equal intensity. Recorded during the vibrant Primavera Pro 2025, this interview offers a rare glimpse into the journey of a young singer-songwriter navigating the challenges and triumphs of life and art.

OSKA’s story began in Austria, close to Vienna, where music was the soundtrack of her childhood home. Surrounded by the eclectic tastes of her family and inspired by icons like Joan Baez, she found her voice early, picking up guitar at age 12 and gradually building the project we now know as OSKA. Her first single in 2020 marked the start of a career that has been as much about self-discovery as musical expression.
“At my concerts, I want people to be vulnerable and feel their feelings”
Her latest album, Refined Believer, is a deeply personal work, crafted over two years in London. Far from the familiarity of home, OSKA embraced isolation and new surroundings to create songs that reflect her emotional evolution—a process of losing faith in some relationships, yet regaining trust and hope. The album’s intimate melodies invite listeners to sit with their feelings, to experience vulnerability as a shared human condition.
“I wrote most of this album in cafés in London, reading poetry and processing a lot of things I was going through.”

Primavera Pro Barcelona marked a milestone for OSKA, as she was the first artist to perform at the festival this year. For her, this wasn’t just a performance—it was a moment to connect, to share fresh songs with an audience eager for authenticity. Playing new material live brings its own excitement and nerves, but OSKA describes the experience as refreshing and fulfilling, fueling her creative spirit for what’s next.
“Being the first artist to play at Primavera Pro this year was incredibly special for me.”

Throughout the interview, OSKA offers invaluable advice to aspiring musicians: to keep making music relentlessly, to trust their own path, and to embrace the joy in the craft itself. Her journey reminds us that success isn’t just about external recognition, but about staying true to one’s voice amidst the noise.
“My advice to young artists? Just keep doing it. Trust yourself and your music.”
At TMN, we believe in amplifying these voices—the artists who challenge norms, share their truth, and inspire young creatives to dream bigger. OSKA’s story, set against the backdrop of Primavera Pro’s dynamic cultural pulse, is a testament to the power of music as a force for connection, healing, and growth.
