TMN CREATORS PROGRAM

TERMS AND CONDITIONs OF PARTICIPATION

By participating in the Creators Program offered by Colectivo Piloto and its project Teens Media Network, hereinafter referred to as “CP/TMN,” the participant agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. PARTICIPATION AND METHODOLOGY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

1.1 Attendance and Participation

Participants enrolled in the CP/TMN Creators Program agree to attend and actively participate in CP/TMN-organized activities and events to which they have committed (e.g., covering an event, conducting an interview, or completing an assigned task). If unable to attend, participants must notify CP/TMN as far in advance as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled activity or event.

1.2 Feedback and Evaluation

Participants understand that the CP/TMN Creators Program is an educational opportunity; therefore, they are subject to constant feedback by their designated mentor for all the creative work, collaborative work, and team building in which they participate. They may receive feedback and evaluation both verbally and in writing. Participants should be open to this methodology and receive feedback kindly with a constructive attitude in order to learn and grow.

1.3 Cooperation with Instructions and Methodologies

Participants acknowledge that the CP/TMN Creators Program is a structured learning experience and agree to follow their assigned mentor’s guidance throughout their participation.

1.4 Schedule and Commitment

Participants agree to dedicate the required time for the program, with schedules determined by CP/TMN.

1.5 Assignments

Participants in the CP/TMN Creators Program MUST accept the tasks they are assigned unless there is a valid reason to reject them. For example, if a creator is assigned to cover a particular event, movie screening, concert, or any other activity, participants are not allowed to reject the coverage based on personal preferences regarding the artist, film, etc. Preferences in event coverage are considered but cannot be guaranteed.

1.6 Engagement and Community Support

Participation in CP/TMN requires ongoing engagement from mentees. CP/TMN thrives as a community, relying on participants' active involvement to grow and remain sustainable. While participation may vary in consistency, staying up to date with CP/TMN activities, key events, and community initiatives is essential. If participants use social media, CP/TMN expects them to support and engage with the work of their peers and the broader CP/TMN community. Consistent engagement is crucial. Frequent absences, low participation, or lack of involvement in key CP/TMN events may impact eligibility for special opportunities, including event coverage and press pass designations.

2. RESPONSIBILITY, BEHAVIOR, AND SAFETY

2.1 Safety

Participants acknowledge that CP/TMN does not provide insurance for their participation in the CP/TMN Creators Program. Each participant assumes full responsibility for any risks associated with their involvement in CP/TMN activities.

2.2 Behavior and Conduct

Participants are required to read and adhere to CP/TMN’s Code of Conduct, which outlines expectations for appropriate behavior, professionalism, and respect. CP/TMN fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment, and any behavior that disrupts this will not be tolerated.

2.3 Press Pass Application Restrictions

All press pass applications are handled exclusively by CP/TMN. Participants are strictly prohibited from applying for press passes under CP/TMN’s name unless they receive explicit authorization from their mentor. If granted permission, participants will receive detailed instructions on how to apply, and the authorization will apply only to the specific event approved by CP/TMN. This authorization cannot be transferred or extended to any other event or individual. Participants must follow mentor instructions at all times regarding press pass usage. Failure to comply with this procedure may result in immediate removal from the program.

2.4 CP/TMN Brand Representation

Participants in the Mentorship Program acknowledge that they represent CP/TMN while covering an event or conducting an interview. They are expected to be informed and to have read the Introductory Manual, which outlines CP/TMN’s mission and vision statements. Participants must clearly understand their role and place within the project to maintain CP/TMN’s professional image.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

3.1 Intellectual Property Rights

Participants retain intellectual property rights over the work they create during the CP/TMN Creators Program, with co-ownership granted to the mentor who guides the production process. Mentors who hold co-ownership also grant CP/TMN an exclusive distribution license and agree not to independently distribute the content outside the CP/TMN network.

Participants grant CP/TMN an exclusive, indefinite distribution license to use such works for promotional, educational, and entertainment purposes within the CP/TMN network. CP/TMN reserves the right to distribute content created by participants for general entertainment, promotional, and educational uses.

Termination of this agreement does not affect CP/TMN’s rights to distribute or use any content created during the active period of participation.

3.2 Exclusive Content

Any content or material created during the mentorship program is considered "CP/TMN Exclusive Content."

3.3 Definition of CP/TMN Exclusive Content

CP/TMN Exclusive Content includes materials created exclusively for CP/TMN's use, such as interviews, event coverage, reports, documentaries, fiction, programs, and all raw materials (video, photographs, audio, and other media). This applies when participants and mentors create content for CP/TMN using press passes issued under CP/TMN’s name or during an assignment within the mentorship program framework. Participants agree not to disclose such content before its official release by CP/TMN.

3.4 Sharing Content

Participants may share parts of their work in their portfolios or on social media only after CP/TMN has officially published the exclusive content on its platforms.

In all cases, they must credit CP/TMN by stating that the content was created for CP/TMN or under the CP/TMN Mentorship Program.

IMPORTANT: Participants are strictly prohibited from sending, sharing, or distributing any CP/TMN content directly to third parties — including but not limited to bands, artists, event hosts, organizers, sponsors, or other media outlets — without explicit written approval from CP/TMN staff.

This includes requests made through DMs, email, or in person. If a third party contacts you asking for photos or videos, please refer them to the TMN team or share our official content request form.

3.5 Ownership of CP/TMN Exclusive Content

While participants retain intellectual property rights over their work as stated in Section 3.1, CP/TMN maintains exclusive ownership of CP/TMN Exclusive Content for the purposes of distribution and branding. Participants grant CP/TMN an exclusive, perpetual license to distribute, publish, modify, and archive this content for entertainment, promotional, and educational purposes.

Participants agree not to modify, remix, or create derivative works of CP/TMN Exclusive Content for independent distribution without prior written consent from CP/TMN.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants waive any moral rights related to CP/TMN Exclusive Content, including rights to object to modifications, adaptations, or omissions.

3.6 Monetization of Distributed Content

Participants acknowledge that CP/TMN Exclusive Content may generate revenue through social media distribution or other monetization methods. CP/TMN will provide transparent updates on monetization efforts related to participant content. Any revenue generated from monetized content will be used to support CP/TMN’s mission, including funding mentorship programs, supporting creators, and enhancing organizational initiatives.

3.7 Content Licensing or Requests

In certain cases, CP/TMN may grant third parties — such as bands, artists, event organizers, or sponsors — access to content created under the CP/TMN Creators Program. When this occurs, a licensing or content usage fee may apply.

All funds collected through these content requests are considered organizational income and will be used in accordance with Section 3.6 to support CP/TMN’s mission, including funding the mentorship program, supporting creators, and enhancing future initiatives.

Participants are not allowed to authorize or facilitate any content sharing or licensing on their own behalf.

3.8 Recognition

CP/TMN will make reasonable efforts to credit participants for their intellectual contributions in CP/TMN Exclusive Content. This may include on-screen credits, acknowledgments in promotional materials, and mentions during broadcasts or events, whenever possible. Materials and images used for promotional purposes, such as websites, flyers, and other marketing materials, may not always carry individual credits.

3.9 Use of Image and Publicity Rights
By participating in the CP/TMN Creator Program, participants grant CP/TMN the right to capture, use, and distribute their image, voice, name, and likeness as recorded in video, audio, or photographs during activities related to the program. This includes use for promotional, educational, editorial, or entertainment purposes in CP/TMN platforms, social media, partner publications, and public exhibitions.

Participants understand and agree that this usage is non-exclusive, royalty-free, and may occur in perpetuity, unless otherwise requested in writing and agreed upon by CP/TMN.

Please note: the right to request removal of content (commonly known as the "right to be forgotten") is not fully recognized or enforceable under United States law. CP/TMN will make reasonable efforts to address participant concerns but cannot guarantee the full removal of distributed media once published or shared by third parties.

4. PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION

4.1 Adherence to Editorial Ethics and Standards

All content produced for CP/TMN must adhere to CP/TMN’s Editorial Ethics and Standards. Participants are required to read and familiarize themselves with these standards before accepting the terms of participation.

4.2 Publication Process

Participants understand that creating content during the CP/TMN Mentorship Program does not guarantee automatic publication on www.teensmedia.net or CP/TMN’s social media platforms. All content must be developed under the guidance of a mentor, and participants must be open to feedback, corrections, and adjustments before final submission for publication.

4.3 Editorial Board Authority

The CP/TMN Editorial Board has the final decision on whether content is published. All content is subject to revision, modification, and adaptation to meet CP/TMN’s editorial standards and quality requirements. These adjustments may be made without prior consultation with the creator. Additionally, refer to Section 1.2 to understand that participation in this program requires receptiveness to feedback and collaboration. Completing the mentorship process and adhering to editorial guidelines is essential for publication eligibility.

5. NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT

5.1 Content Confidentiality

The participant acknowledges that during their involvement in the CP/TMN Creators Program, they may create exclusive content for CP/TMN, which may include but is not limited to interviews, event coverage, reports, and other media. The participant agrees not to distribute, share, or disclose any of this content in any manner (including but not limited to social media, third-party websites, or any other public forum) outside of CP/TMN without the express written authorization from CP/TMN.

5.2 Confidential Information

Participants may also be exposed to confidential information related to CP/TMN's operations, strategies, and proprietary processes. Participants agree to keep all such information confidential and to not disclose or use it for any purpose other than fulfilling their role in the CP/TMN Mentorship Program. This obligation extends beyond the duration of the program and continues indefinitely unless agreed otherwise in writing.

6. FEES AND PAYMENTS

6.1 Program Fees

The program fee for each participant varies based on factors such as the number of mentorship hours and the specific program requirements. The exact fee will be agreed upon with each participant in a separate contract before the start of the program. Participants can consult the Pricing List for the general pricing structure and detailed information regarding fees.

6.2 Scholarship Opportunities

CP/TMN offers scholarships to eligible participants based on demonstrated financial need and dedication. Those granted a scholarship will be notified before the program begins and will need to sign a separate scholarship agreement outlining the specific terms. Scholarships may cover part or all of the program fee, and the recipient must adhere to the terms of their scholarship for continued eligibility.

6.3 Subscription Requirement

As part of the CP/TMN Creators Program, participants are required to purchase a 1-year subscription to CP/TMN. This subscription provides access to educational resources, courses, and the platform necessary for program participation. The subscription fee is separate from the program fee and is mandatory to access the required learning materials. The cost of the subscription is currently USD 100 per year or USD 10 per month and be paid before the start of the program. This price is guaranteed for the first year of participation only; the fee for subsequent years will be in accordance with the current rate at the time of renewal. Participants granted with a scholarship may fully pay the membership rate, no exceptions. Participants can purchase a subscription using the following link.

6.4 Administrative and Operational Costs

Participants understand that some program activities, such as obtaining press passes, transportation, and meals during events or activities, may involve external administrative or operational expenses. These costs are not covered by CP/TMN and will be the sole responsibility of the participant.

6.5 Payment Terms

Payments for the program fee and subscription are due before the program starts. Payment must be made in full prior to participation, and failure to pay on time may result in delays or removal from the program.

7. TERMINATION

7.1 Program Termination

CP/TMN reserves the right to terminate a participant's enrollment in the Creators Program if the participant fails to meet program requirements or violates the terms of this agreement. In such cases, the participant will not be entitled to a refund of program fees.

7.2 Termination by Participant

If the participant chooses to withdraw from the program for any reason, they must inform CP/TMN in writing as soon as possible. Dropping out of the program early does not guarantee refunds unless otherwise stipulated.

8. MODIFICATIONS

CP/TMN reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions as necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes in a timely manner and must agree to the updated terms to continue participation.
