TMN at Global Citizen Festival 2025

This Saturday, September 27, the Global Citizen Festival returns to Central Park’s Great Lawn in New York City with a global lineup: Shakira, Cardi B, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah the Scientist, Camilo, Elyanna, and a special appearance by ROSÉ.

The festival gathers tens of thousands in person and millions more online, making it one of the most visible moments where music and social action meet.
The Mission
Global Citizen was created to mobilize action toward ending extreme poverty. Since 2008, its campaigns and festivals have led to $49 billion in commitments that have reached more than 1.3 billion people worldwide. The festival connects entertainment with a broader purpose: showing how art can push urgent issues onto the world stage.

TMN On the Ground
For Teens Media Network (TMN), covering this event means placing young reporters right at the center of a cultural and action crossroads. Our team will be documenting performances, capturing the voices of the crowd, and reflecting on how music events like this amplify activism.
