The trio formed by Alicia Ros, Paola Rivero, and María Talaverano landed in Barcelona on February 28 with their Tanto Por Hacer tour. This concert was part of the Primavera Tours program, which brings the freshest and most current musical acts to our venues.

There’s no better way to bid farewell to February than by enjoying a live show from the Madrid-based band Cariño, who returned to Barcelona to present their third album and, in the process, drive the audience wild with their irresistible hits and catchy choruses. It was past nine when the eclectic fusion of opening act Dianka gave way to an exhilarating session of tontipop (quirky pop), the signature style that has defined the trio since the beginning of their prolific journey as a band.

That night, the planets aligned, giving rise to a rare phenomenon—just like the members of Cariño, who seem to have come from another galaxy. As they performed some of their most beloved songs, from ‘Canción De Pop De Amor’ to‘Si Quieres andTe Brillan’, the trio radiated a carefree and magnetic energy on stage, showcasing their deep connection and seamless chemistry. Alicia’s sweetness, María’s talent, and Paola’s contagious intensity blended together, creating a harmonious and genuine balance while making us pulse with energy to the rhythm of their guitars and synthesizers.

Fans enthusiastically embraced the new songs from their latest album, a mature and nostalgic project that marks their evolution, leaving behind their more youthful phase. Throughout the evening, the trio treated the audience to a set filled with therapeutic, lighthearted, and fun tracks like Y Yo Que Pensaba and Lo Noto, all crafted with a philosophy that reminds us not to take things too seriously—because, in the end, ‘Nada Importa Tanto’ (Nothing Matters That Much).

They ignited a frenzy in a fully engaged and passionate crowd that never stopped jumping when the dance-floor hit ‘tamagotchi’ played, chanted in unison, “esto no se ha acabado” (“this isn’t over yet”) during Aún Me Acuerdo de Todo, and let loose to an uninhibited ‘Bisexual’ , which brought the party to a triumphant close.

With pop as their flag, Cariño has managed to claim a unique sound that, along with their everyday lyrics about heartbreaks and the concerns of their generation, has taken them from festival to festival across the country. Milestones like their performance at the prestigious Coachella festival in 2022 have solidified them as one of the most important acts in the Spanish music scene.
